A Toronto-based independent record label which also participated in the critically acclaimed ``You Forgot it in People`` record. They released more than 50 albums from 30 different artists and received 15 JUNO awards. Artists under their name are: Stars, Amy Millan, Feist, Zeus, Broken Social Scene, Eight and a Half, and many other great Canadian artists.
Paper Bag Records
This Toronto-based record company was founded in 2002. They helped released, among many others, Broken Social Scene`s ``You Forgot it in People``, Stars ``Hearts``, and Tokyo Police Club ``A Lesson in Crime``. Young Galaxy, Moonface, The Luyas, Austra, Stars, Tokyo Police Club, PS I love you, The Rural Alberta Advantage, and Elliott Brood.
Dare to Care Records
A Montreal-based record label that has Malajube, We are Wolves, and Armistice under its wings. The label records for both English and French artists.
La Grosse Boîte
Working mostly with Francophone artists, La Grosse Boîte is associated with Dare to Care Records. Coeur de Pirate, Fanny Bloom, Jean Leloup and his alter ego Jean Leclerc, and La Patère Rose are among the artists represented by La Grosse Boîte.

A Toronto-based record company which specialized in many music genres such as indie-rock, punk, and rock. Artists such as Yukon Blonde, Tokyo Police Club, The Jezabels, City and Color, Hot Hot Heat, Hey Rosetta and Hannah Georgas are labeled by Dine Alone Records.

An independent record label founded in Quebec in the 1980s. Audiogram labels Damien Robitaille, Amylie, Karkwa, Peter Peter, and Ariane Moffatt.
Last Gang Records
Last Gang Records was founded in 2003 by a music industry lawyer named Chris Taylor in order to promote the band Metric, which couldn't be signed to a record label. The well-known company has labeled artists such as Death From Above 1979, Emily Haines and the Soft Skeleton, Crystal Castles, Purity Ring, K-Os, and Mother Mother, to only name a few.
